Are you looking for love?? I am George and I am LOVING life! As you can see, I am a handsome black male Labrador. I am housebroken, crate trained, neutered and up to date on all my shots. I was a stray to a shelter before I found LRR, and I am looking for a brand new family! Everyone who meets me says I’m a happy, happy boy and I have to say, it’s the truth. I am always wagging my tail - life is good!
So why did the little yellow Labrador cross the road to hide and play in a cornfield ? To play and have fun of course. The nice volunteers here at Labrador Retriever Rescue named me Maize ( May Z ) to remind me of my roots. A little bit corny but they mean well. I spent the better part of a month hiding out in a Pennsylvania cornfield. After I was caught, I caught the eye of an LRR volunteer. And boy, now I get to play and have fun now with lots of other Labbies and live indoors!
Hello! I am Libby! Want to play? Oh – you want to hear more about me first? Ok. I am a two year old yellow female, up to date on all my vaccinations, spayed, housebroken, crate-trained and all-around good girl! I’m a petite Labbie, full-grown at about 46 pounds. I don’t like to brag, but everyone says I’m super cute and very smart!
Hi y’all my name is Brooke. I am a full figured southern belle. I am originally from Maryland and have also been spending some time in SOUTHERN New Jersey. I am a 2 to 3 year old black Labrador Retriever who is spayed, housebroken and crate trained. I get along well with the other dogs in my current foster home but they are all senior citizens and do not want to party into the night. Maybe when I am getting my pill for my Lyme disease these old guys should get some Geratol. They do like to retrieve balls with me, but you can guess who is the last one retrieving.
Hello out there! My name is Pinky, not quite sure why. I am not pink. Instead, I am a beautiful spayed, 4 year old black lab. When I went to the vet I weighed 94 pounds, but don’t let me weight scare you, I am a gentle girl who loves to flop over. I am up to date on my shots, housebroken and crate trained.
Before LRR, I used to live with a family, but they had to give me up because of travel and work. I was a little sad a first, but am loving life right now. Since I came to LRR they have been treating me so well and really taking care of me. I have a little ear infection right now, which is being taken care of and LRR also discovered that I suffer from hypothyroidism, which is no big deal. I take a couple pills with peanut butter or food and I am good to go. The pills are making me feel better and making my coat a nice shiny black color.
Well GOSH! My name is Bubs and I am looking for a new home. I am a yellow male, 5 years old, neutered, housebroken, crate-trained and up to date on all my shots. I am feeling super loved right now and in return I am showering everyone I meet with kisses, lots and lots of kisses.
Hi, I’m Josie, a 2ish-year old 75lb black lab. I can’t remember my dog mom and dad but the shelter I’m from said that I might be a lab/mastiff mix. I’ve got a short, squat snout so my foster parents say it looks like I ran full-tilt into a wall and smooshed my face, but they still think I’m pretty darn cute so it really doesn’t matter.
Hello….I am Rita, black female. I seem to be suffering from a bit of amnesia as I can’t remember my previous life and since I came to the shelter as a stray, they can’t fill in the blanks for me either. Phil and I were pulled from the same shelter by LRR on Groundhog’s Day which is how we got our names. LRR is guessing i am about 3 years old. One thing they do know for sure is that I am spayed, housebroken, up to date on my shots and crate-trained.
Make sure to read my UPDATE 7/9/13 below: Happy Spring~ It’s almost beach time and I am nowhere near ready! My name is Gracie and I am about 3 years old. I am currently a plump 100.4lbs. I am housebroken, crate-trained, loved to play with other dogs and kids. I was given up to a shelter with another dog when my family deployed.
“…And we are watching a big Canadian high pressure front that is dropping down to bring a chilly weekend for all of us. For those of you going on walks this weekend I recommend taking a Labrador with you. He will keep you from getting lost and keep your feet warm in bed when you get back.”
“I Love Lucy”. I am hopng to hear that more and more. My name is Lucy and I am a very sweet and cuddly black lab born in August of 2010 I am spayed, up to date on all of my shoots, housebroken, crate trained and I have AKC papers. I am on the smaller side of labbies, but there is plenty of me to love.
Hello. I am Phil. I found LRR on Groundhog Day and I didn’t have a name, so they named me after the groundhog. I’m glad they didn’t decide to call me Punxsutawney! I’m a black male Labrador Retriever, housebroken, crate trained, neutered and up to date on all my shots. I was a stray to a shelter, so that’s about all anyone knows about me. They think that I am about five years old.
My name is Ruby - and I am a GEM! That’s right, you can say that you have a 70 lb Ruby. I am a yellow female, about 3.5 yrs old. I am spayed, housebroken, crate trained, good with dogs and cats. I will be “kid tested” soon, so you’ll have to check back for the results. I am also current on all my vaccinations. I am lyme positive, so LRR is treating me for that.
I am Susie, Ruby’s sister, be sure to read her story too. I too am about 3.5 years old. I am a yellow female; spayed, current on vaccinations, housebroken, crate trained, good with dogs and cats. I will be kid tested soon - check back for the results! I weigh 67 lbs, and I am a medium energy girl.
Bean, Beanbag, Jumping Bean….yes that’s really me. You can call me whatever you like, just as long as you don’t call me too late for dinner! I am a black male, probably about 1.5years old. I am probably a little more than a lab, I may have some flatcoat retriever in my geneology too. I am up to date on all my shots, negative for HW and Lyme and neutered. I am a tall but thin boy- I weigh only about 55lbs.
