Hello everyone, I’m Joanie. I’m a young, 18 month old, yellow, spayed female. I’m housebroken, crate-trained and up-to-date on all my shots. I’m a petite girl at only 60 lbs.

You may be shocked to hear my story. About 8-9 weeks ago I became a young mommy and had a litter of puppies. Afterwards, my owners decided they did not want ME anymore, only my puppies. Even though I’m almost a puppy still myself, they took me to the shelter ! I truly was rescued when LRR heard about me and came to give me a second chance.

Now that I’m living in a foster home I am getting lots of TLC. LRR thinks I probably lived outside most of my life because my coat was in pretty bad shape. However, now I’m being pampered with great food, soothing baths and regular brushings. They tell me I’ll be a gorgeous blonde in no time!!

You can imagine that the recent months have been a little rough for me, so I was a little timid when I first got here. LRR has assured me that things are going to be good from now on and I’m starting to come around. I’m really enjoying playing with soft, plush toys and romping in the yard. My foster mom thinks I’m silly because I’ll take my water bowl from the deck and carry it somewhere else in the yard. Once you get to know me, you’ll see that I’m a very sweet, affectionate girl. Even though I’m small, I will nudge my way through my foster brothers to get my fair share of pets and snuggles too! I’m not pushy about it though – I will just sit in front of you and look up lovingly – how can you resist???

I’m so thankful that LRR has given me a second chance. I have a lot of love to give and promise to show you just how much every day if you’ll give me a chance, too.
