Fletcher

Hi there! My name is Fletcher and I am about 2 1/2 years old. I was a stray in a shelter. I am housebroken, crate trained and up to date on all my shots. I am a pretty small fellow weighing around 65 pounds.

I have learned so much while here at LRR including what a wonderful life a dog can have. I love to play with other dogs and my toys, but most of all I love to cuddle up in the chair with my foster parents. I make everyone smile when I toss my toys in the air and pounce on them. The snow we have had lately is so much fun because I get to burrow and make tunnels and I also get to make dog angels.

My foster parents are working hard to teach me to sit, stay, down, leave and not get so excited on the leash when I see other dogs on the street. If I have to say so myself, I am doing pretty well, of course I will need someone to continue to work with me, since no one has ever spent much time with me.

When I first came here, LRR noticed that I had a little limp and my left front elbow is bigger than my right elbow. LRR took me into the vet to figure out what it was. It really does not bother me at all, but they wanted to know what it was. So after several surgeries and biopsies, they learned from the bone specialists that I probably had a little break in my bone when I was just a puppy that caused my bone to grow too much. Everyone seems really excited that it is just a little extra bone. Each morning and night I get a little round treat to keep my joints fluid which they are calling Glucosimine/ chondroitin. If you want to take a closer look at my elbow, I stood really still for a picture (for a treat of course).

So, if you think you have a heart and a lap big enough for me, go ahead and send in an application cause I am ready and waiting for a special home of my own.
