Homer

D’ Oh! Its me Homer. I am a big goofy guy who loves to be around people and likes tennis balls. I am about 2 years old, nearly 100lbs, housebroken, up to date on my shots and crate-trained.

My sister, Marge, and I were picked up as strays. Our owner was located but she signed us over to the shelter since we kept breaking out of our kennel run and visiting the neighbors. Lucky for us, she decided she could not afford to build a new run to keep us in. LRR came to the shelter to look at 3 other dogs and fell in love with us. And that’s all we had to do to land here- pretty easy.

Marge and I were two peas in a pod- we were monkey see, monkey do with each other- when one of us peed, the other peed. LRR is not looking to place us together. We have become wonderful individual dogs and we find much less trouble by ourselves. That is not to say we would not love a doggie playmate to play and wrestle with.

As for me, I may be a big guy, but my foster mom describes me as a very quiet guy, even in my crate I am quiet. I am very strong - especially when I see those funny little squirrels. Otherwise, I am good on a leash. We have not talked about my love for carrying toys and playing with toys. I love all toys. I pull them all out of the toy basket so you can put them all back in the basket and we can do it all over again. When we are not out playing, I would love to lean against you while you pet me. If you rub the right spot, I will continue to lean and slide down your leg and rolls on my back for a belly rub. I just want to please you, whatever I do.

If you think you are up for a big, silly ole bear, send in your application and I would love to see if we can be friends.
