Hey! Boo is what they call me. I am a handsome, yellow male. My birthday is in August, I just turned 1 year old. I am neutered, have my shots, and I am on heartworm preventative.

LRR got me from a vet’s office. Seems that my owners turned me in to be put to sleep because I broke my leg and they didn’t want to pay all the money to get it fixed. They said that I was jumping on the porch and that is how I broke my leg. My foster parents know why I was jumping - I HATE being outside alone. I like having people with me. I go out and do the necessary things, then I am ready to come in and be with people - is that so strange? I thought that all labbies were “people dogs”.

Well, LRR had surgery done on my leg to repair it. The first surgery didn’t work very well - not sure why! So, off I go again, to see another doctor that might do more surgery. In spite of all of this, my foster parents say I am a really nice guy. I am pretty calm for a pup, and I am taking all of this in stride (notice the lampshade looking thing I have to wear).

I love to play with other dogs and I love to cuddle with people. Just chillin’ out with the foster folks is kind of fun. My favorite toys are kong toys and I love to play tug of war with the other dogs in the house.

The doctors say that my leg will be fine. It is supposed to heal nicely and will be stable. I won’t be ready for a new home till at least the end of September or the beginning of October. LRR wants to be sure that I am all healed and ready for my new home before I leave. I can’t wait!

If you think you might like a handsome, sweet, loveable, cuddly boy like me, please apply - remember you’ll have to wait awhile until I am ready to go. I am so looking forward to a home of my own!
