Hunter

Hi folks, my name is Hunter. I am a chocolate male, 5.5 years old, neutered, housebroken, crate trained, good with cats, dogs and kids. I am a nice sized lab at 67 lbs.

I am young at heart, love to play, and I can help you move things all around the house - carrying toys, books and whatever you need help with. This is something I am good at. I really can’t help myself about moving things…so when you aren’t there to supervise me with where you want things moved to, I should be crated.

While with LRR I have been in a foster home with some great kids! The little girl sometimes puts me in time outs since I carry her toys around. Mind you, I don’t chew them, I just like to carry them. I am very good about my time outs…I take them like a man.

In one of my foster homes, I found a great closet, it had boxes of fun shoes. I looked at them all, I moved them around, I took a nap in the pile. Again, I didn’t chew them, but it was so much fun to see all the great shoes!

I bet you are wondering how I got to LRR. My owner, for whatever reason, took me to the shelter. He signed me over, walked out the door and didn’t look back. I hated seeing him leave, I cried and barked to try to get his attention, but he didn’t look back. I still can’t imagine what I did to make him leave me there. The really weird thing is that the family had just spent a lot of money on me, they got my shots for me and got me neutered. Oh well, I can’t dwell on the why’s of this…I am with LRR now and doing great.

My perfect home would have a dog to play with, or some kids to play with and follow around. Also, I want a crate, I like my crate. I just want a new forever home that will love me and hug me. I am a good boy, and I have a lot of love to give.
