Jolie

Hi, I’m Jolie, I am a sweet yellow 2 year old 60 pound lab mommy. You see, my owner brought me, my pup, and her dad to the shelter in the back of a pickup truck because he could no longer “care” for us. I don’t know about you but to me care does not mean living outside in a kennel run my whole life, never going to the vets, being emaciated, and left to get pregnant more than once. Anyhow, since he was no longer able to “care” for me, my whole family was taken to the shelter.

Well, life was pretty much no fun until LRR came and picked me up. Now I am living the good life and indoors too! I am spayed, bathed, crate trained, housebroken and up to date on my shots.

I love playing with other dogs, chasing balls (sometimes bringing back more than one!), and going on car rides (I’m so quiet you might forget about me!). As for my softer side, I love rubbing up against my people (similar to a cat but don’t tell anyone!), getting lots of pets, and curling up in my dog bed.

Walking on a leash is new to me but I do not pull, stay close and always check back to make sure you are still there. Even though I am still learning some basic indoor “manners” like not jumping up to see what is on the counter, my foster mom said I know “sit” better than any dog she has seen and let me tell you she’s seen a lot of dogs!

Oh, one more thing, we played this really cool game this afternoon with my foster brothers. I don’t know what it was called, but basically my foster mom was eating Cheerios and she would toss them to us to catch. My foster brothers certainly had a paw up on me at this game, but I caught on very quickly. It was fun and I got some snacks. If you know what game I am talking about, I think I would like to play again soon.

So, if you think you would like to share the good life with me, I would love to share it with someone of my very own!
