Bryce

Hi, hi, hi!! I’m Bryce and I LOVE you…and you, and you, and you! Ok, my foster mom says to relax and tell my story to all you nice people out there. I’m about 2 years old so I’m still a bit of a puppy-brain dog but its fading. Originally my owner’s boyfriend bought me as a present for her but then they broke up so I ended up back with his parents and in a crate a lot.

Choco

Hello – my name is Choco and I am a six-year old male Labrador. As you might have guessed, I am a chocolate Lab. My foster mom tells me that I’m as sweet as actual chocolate, but I don’t know because I’ve never tried the candy kind – it’s bad for dogs, you know. I am housebroken, crate trained, neutered, H/W negative and up to date on all of my shots. I weigh 95 pounds, but LRR is helping me lose a few pounds so I get to a nice, healthy weight around 75 pounds.

Brady

Happy Spring to everyone. My name is Brady and I’m an extremely handsome gentleman if I do say so myself. I’m a 6 year young black male, neutered, up to date on my shots, totally house broken and crate trained. I am good with dogs and cats, and I’ll be tested with children soon, but LRR heard that I did spend time with kids.

Harley

My name is Harley! I am a 5 year old, yellow male. I am neutered, good with dogs and cats, and kids. I am housebroken, love car rides, and I have a dynamic personality. I love people, and tennis balls! I am a compact 59 lbs, a little guy with a big heart and what a face!

Syri

Hi there – my name is Syri! One of my foster moms calls me “Little Bear” because she says I look like a polar bear cub. That’s silly because I’m a yellow Labrador retriever, not a bear! I’m an English Lab, which doesn’t mean that I bark with a cute accent, but does mean that I’m shorter than American Labs and have a fantastic, heavy warm coat, a wide tail and a boxier snout. I am six years young, housebroken, crate trained, and up to date on all of my shots. Everyone says I’m a happy, wonderful girl, so it must be true!

Dusty

Howdy Folks! Dusty is my name! Yes, I’m a handsome boy, I have a dynamic face, and a personality to go with it. I am a 10 - 12 month old lab, I’m housebroken, crate trained, neutered, and have all my vaccinations. I am good with dogs and cats, and I’ll be tested with kids soon - check back for the update. Yes, I have that young lab energy, BUT I can also settle. I love car rides and walks and will be happy to climb into your lap and cuddle. I’m a little guy, I weigh in at 66 lbs, and I’m fit as a fiddle.

Bert

Hi everybody, my name is Bert, as in Best Ever Retriever, Thank you. I am a 4 year old lanky yellow male and have expressive eye brows. I am neutered, completely housebroken, crate trained, and up to date on all my vaccinations. I am a lover. I love people, other dogs, walks, retrieving balls and not returning them. I do not think there is anything I do not enjoy doing. I am a healthy 80 pounds. I have a very deep “manly” bark which might scare some people but I’m extremely friendly and just saying Hi.

Jessie

Happy New Year! My name is Jessie and I am a spayed black female. I am up to date on all my shots, housebroken, crate-trained and as happy as can be. I am currently lugging around a pretty heavy cast on my leg to repair my ACL but we can talk about that in a minute. I am a petite girl, about 55lbs.

About our dogs

We generally have 3-6 Labs available for adoption at any one time. Listed here are only a few of the dogs currently in our system. If you are interested in any of our adoptable playmates, read about our adoption process. Approved applicants will be required to visit with several (usually at least 3) of our available dogs to ensure the best possible match is made.

The status of dogs (available, adoption pending, adopted) on this page is updated daily and always has the latest information on our dogs.

We are a local organization. If you do not live in the metropolitan Washington DC/MD/VA/PA area, see our service area page to find a Labrador rescue near you as we are unable to assist people outside of our area.

Also be sure to check out many of the dogs LRR has adopted out over the years, read our Happy Tails stories sent to LRR by adopters, and visit our Loyal Order of Labradors™ page, with special information on our older alumni.
