How You Can Help Us

Donate Money: As a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your monetary donation is fully tax deductible. Click here to find out how you can donate money to us online, right through our web site!

Donate Your Time: LRR is always looking for new volunteers. Some of the jobs we need volunteers for include transporting labs (from shelters and between foster homes), doing pre-adoption house checks, and evaluating dogs for potential LRR system induction. LRR does not kennel its labs. The number of labs in the LRR system is governed by the number of foster homes we have.

Donate Your Home: LRR does not kennel its labs. The number of labs in the LRR system is governed by the number of foster homes we have. We pay all approved veterinary bills and you supply the patience and TLC. Your dog experience governs the type of lab you get to foster. First time foster homes get well adjusted family pets. Later, you can elect to be challenged by one of our abuse/neglect cases. All LRR canine inductees spend 14 days with a senior LRR volunteer before they go to a new foster home. Click here to learn more about becoming a foster home.

Dog Toys: LRR is happy to accept used or new dog toys for our labbies—many of whom have never had toys before. We are especially in need of hard rubber or Nylabone type chew toys, tennis balls, Frisbees, and the like. LRR follows each donation with a thank you letter that is suitable for tax purposes. See our contact information page for our mailing address.

Materials: LRR is in need of all types of dog related supplies including crates, leashes, collars, food, and veterinary supplies. As a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donation is fully tax deductible. LRR follows each donation with a thank you letter that is suitable for tax purposes.

Proplan: If you feed your dog ProPlan Dog Food, please save your weight circles and send them to us from time to time. The weight circles can be found at the top on the side of each bag. It is an actual circle made by broken lines.
