Patty

Hi, My name is Patty – sweet, petite Patty. I am a healthy six year old spayed, yellow female. I am housebroken, current with my immunizations and crate trained. I had a tumultuous earlier life, so I am very happy to be with LRR.

The first place I lived, I was chained outside. I did not like being chained outside all the time, so I would break my chain and go exploring. I guess I went too far the last time, because I ended up placed in a shelter and was adopted into a new home . There were border collies already living there and they were not welcoming. I guess I made them uncomfortable because they would constantly herd and corner me. I didn’t have a peaceful time and it was not a good placement for me, so LRR was contacted.

Since I’ve come to LRR, my tail has not stopped wagging. I am so happy to be here that I wag my entire body when I see my foster parents. I love to spend time with people. I follow my foster parents from room to room, lay at their feet or snuggle up next to them. Given my past experience, I am a little cautious at first when meeting new dogs thinking they are going to boss me around and corner me; but, once I get to know them, I love to curl up with them too. My foster home has two black labs and the guys and I get along great.

I love going for walks and am very good on the leash. Even more then walks, I love retrieving tennis balls! I will bring the ball right back to you and drop it at your feet so you can throw it again for me. I will retrieve as long as you are willing to throw the ball.

One of my foster moms calls me “Honeygirl”. She says it’s because I am such a love. If you are looking for a pleasant, loyal friend who will keep you company, help you exercise and greet you with enthusiasm when you walk in the door, I may be just the ticket.
