Porter

Hi, I’m Porter, a 6-year old lanky yellow Lab. I know I’m a little bit older but I really only act like I’m about 4. I ended up at LRR ‘cause my first family was expanding. They were planning on having a baby so my dad’s mother was moving in with the family and brought her dog. The mother decided there were too many dogs in the household and since I was the biggest one, I got the boot….but that’s ok—I’m having a blast here while I’m waiting for my forever home. I’m housebroken, crate-trained, and I know some basic obedience.

I get along just fine with other dogs but I really love people. I like being near people, sitting for lots and lots of petting, and giving lots of kisses back. My foster mom says I have this obsessive need for tennis balls, but come on, I’m a Lab! What do you expect?

Ok, so I do like retrieving tennis balls outside. When I’m indoors, I’m happy with retrieving balls, stuffed toys, or anything remotely round. If there’s nothing available, then I like just relaxing and taking a nap.

I’m looking for someone who wants to play ball with me, give me lots of belly rubs, and be with me forever. If you think I’m the one for you, send in your application!
