Badge-adopted

Alex

Hello everyone! My name is Alex. I am about 5.5 years old, neutered, black labbie. I am housebroken, crate-trained, up to date on my shots and a very easy going boy.

I had been adopted from a shelter about a year and a half ago with another dog. Then the family that had opened their heart to me decided they could not care for me- which broke my heart. They returned me to the shelter they had adopted me from only a year and a half earlier. With few reasons as to why they were giving me up, the shelter placed me up for adoption again. I really hope this time around, I can land in a home I can count on for the rest of my life. LRR feels they can meet my one wish.

I made myself right at home very quickly with my foster family. I don’t have too many demands, just a lot of love and petting. I do know a few basic commands, and would love to learn some more tricks.

Did I mention I was a little on the large side? Well….that might be a little of an understatment. I weighed in at a buck and a quarter- sounds better than 125 pounds? I am a gentle giant. My foster mom did take me out for a leash walk with the expectation I would pull her over. I surprised her after she reminded me who was taking whom on a walk. When I would tug a little harder than she liked on the leash, she would tell me to slow down and I obliged.

If you think you can make my wish come true for a forever home, please fill out an application, I would love to meet you.
